Governance Information

Welcome to our Governors’ section.

Please find in this section details of how our Governing Committee is structured, including the names, categories, responsibilities, and terms of appointment for each Governor.

The Governing Committee is made up of a maximum of 12 governors and the Headteacher (ex officio governor) representing different parts of the school community. The full Governing Committee meets four time per academic year.  Governors make regular visits to the school and have access to training to help them undertake their role.

The overall purpose of the Governing Committee is to help the school to provide the best possible education for our pupils by working with the Headteacher and staff in setting the school's vision and strategic aims, monitoring and evaluating performance and ensuring the school is accountable to parents and the wider community.

When a vacancy occurs for a parent governor, all parents are notified and invited to put their name forward if they would like to be elected to the Governing Body. The Governing Body can be contacted through the Clerk to Governors, clerkedwards@bridgeacademytrust.org
