The Friends of High Ongar School are essentially the modern day version of a PTA. Everyone is welcome to participate in our gatherings (which are very informal) and take part in various school events. Our focus is very much on the social aspect. It is very important that parents and carers enjoy the association with the School as much as the children!

During the year, a number of events are held, such as discos, Easter Egg decorating competitions, Santa's Grotto, icecream and treat sales. Of course some of these events lend themselves to helping us to raise funds for the school. This money goes to providing extra equipment and facilities for our children to enjoy, which would not usually be provided through the normal channels.

Remember, if you have a child at High Ongar, you are already a "Friend of the School". We look forward to welcoming you to one of our meetings and wish you and your child a happy and rewarding association with both "The Friends" and the School.
